Introduction

Anxiety is a resident right here at my address. Yep, anxiety lives here, too. Me and anxiety – we are like a family! We wake up, eat breakfast, take a ride together, and the worst thing of all is that we share my bed.

Often, anxiety is so annoying, it wakes me up in the middle of the night, my heart is pounding, I can’t breathe, my head feels tight, and I’m grinding my teeth.

Sometimes, though, anxiety is so cruel that it does not let me go to be at all.

That’s why I started writing Christian Prayers.

Christian prayers for peace comfort me, and I want you to also be comforted. I want you to know that God never failed you, and He will not start now.

God will take care of you. He holds you in the palm of His hand.

Soon after I was diagnosed with Complex PTSD during my marriage with the narcissist, I began studying Spiritual Warfare, which led me to write a collection of seven Spiritual Warfare Prayers that have helped thousands of people in the last three years. They help me every day.

Christian prayers for peace empowered me and helped me persevere and heal. I remember crying myself to sleep on the floor on my knees when I was enduring narcissistic abuse. God delivered me and He restored me. He heard my prayers, and He answered me. He called me to ministry in 2017.

That’s my experience with prayers for peace in a nutshell.

Christian Prayer for Peace and Strength

Dear God,

Peace is a good thing, and I need it right now.

You say those who seek you lack no good thing.

Bless me with peace, Father God. Rid me of my fears.

Lift me up, deliver me, God.

I'm trapped in anxiety and doubts.

You said you keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast. God, please help me focus my mind on you, away from the world and its demands and obsessions, let my heart trust in you forever.

God, I pray that you set my mind and heart on you, give me peace, bless me with strength, and use my story for your glory.

In Jesus' name.

Christian Prayer for Peace In The World

Dear God,

We are members of one body, reveal yourself to us in the world.

Show us that your peace is possible.

Rule in our hearts, Father.

Fill our minds with gratitude, give us peace in the world.

I pray for the blessing of peace.

In the name of Jesus, our lord and savior.

Amen.

Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.

Christain Prayer for Peaceful Sleep

Dear God,

I am restless. I can't sleep. I am weary.

You said I should not be afraid, that if I just lie down, my sleep will be sweet.

Father, I trust you, I will lie down in faith.

Please make my sleep sweet, help my mind rest, calm down my anxieties, lift me out of the trap of my fears.

In peace I will lie down and sleep.

You alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety.

I pray for peaceful sleep in the name of Jesus.

Amen.

When you lie down, you will not be afraid;

    when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet.

Christain Prayer for Peace and Unity

Dear God,

We are divided, and I am pleading for peace.

You said peace is the bond of unity.

I am praying for peace and unity right now, Father God.

You said we must have unity of mind.

You said we must show sympathy.

You said we must love one another with brotherly love.

You said we must have tender hearts and humble minds.

God, if you said this is possible, it is possible for us. Show me how. Reveal your way to me. Guide me and lead me.

I pray for peace and unity in the name of Jesus Christ.

Amen.

Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.

Dear God,

My mind is unsettled. I'm overwhelmed.

I keep asking "What If?" and I keep worrying.

Father, you said I must be still and know that you are God.

Teach me how, reveal yourself to me.

I am weary at this time.

My hope is in the Lord. Renew my strength.

Calm my mind. Cheer up my heart.

Help me soar, God. I trust your promises.

Renew me, Father God.

Give me peace of mind.

In Jesus' name.

Amen.

Dear God,

You say that my home is a peaceful habitation, a secure dwelling, and a quite resting place. I trust you, God.

I stand on your promises.

I declare your peace over my home right now.

I declare security and quiteness.

I declare your divine protection.

I am a peacemaker, and you call me your own, Father God.

Bless me, protect my home.

In Jesus' name I pray.

Amen.

My people will abide in a peaceful habitation, in secure dwellings, and in quiet resting places.

Christian Prayer for Peace at Work

Dear God,

I go to work to do good work you prepared for me in advance.

My desire is to honor and glorify you.

Bless my worplace with peace.

There is so much going on, God. Protect my heart.

You said I must not let my heart be troubled.

You asked me to not be afraid.

You promised to give me peace, teach me how to access it now.

Reveal yourself to me, Father God.

Show me the way I must go when it comes to my workplace.

You said you will fill my heart with joy and peace if I place my trust in you. Father God, I trust you completely.

I ask that you overcome me with the Holy Spirit.

I ask that you renew my hope in the regards to my work.

I pray for divine peace at work, the peace that passess all understanding, your unexplainable peace, Father God.

I pray in the name of Jesus.

Pray for One Another

I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and his incomparably great power for us who believe.
